Synopsis
"The Times They Are a-Changin'" Bob Dylan
In 1969 seven Redhead Beach high school students in their last year (3 girls 4 boys) made a pact to transform the world by the principles of Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'Roll. A liberated free world in which all humanity shares.
Now in their 60s, the group reflect in regret, having sold out their pact for materialism and self-interest.
Mephistopheles (the Devil) appears and offers the group a wager. In return for their regret, Mephistopheles gives the group, and audience, the opportunity to go back to 1969 and do it all again.
However, Mephistopheles cheats by giving the group only 2½ hours to win the wager and save their souls. The group must convince the audience to abandon materialism and adopt the 60's principles of Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'Roll
Sex Sexual liberation represents freedom, equality and the ending of discrimination. Unless we are free to express our natural sexuality, we are not free in any area of life.
Drugs represent responsibility, which begins with self responsibility. A society constrained by prohibition cannot develop spiritually, and therefore will behave irresponsibility.
Rock'n'Roll represents creativity, un-controlled by economic, religious or political influence. "The music, the whole music and nothing but the music."
